 When we discussed this vacancy I was impressed with the process Simon proposed but when he mentioned the cost (which I appreciate was heavily discounted) I started to think that's a pretty good return for them. Simon proposed that we talk about it again at the end of the process and if I wasn't happy that it had been a good investment we'd agree on something I was happy with. Well we had to choose between two applicants that both appeared very very strong. HR Direction provided a detailed and comprehensive service with a lot of information that was really useful in making that decision easier. They covered every base and I always knew what was happening. We felt really confident by the end of the process that the successful applicant was extremely suitable for our organisation, and there would be no surprises. Two months on our successful applicant is fantastic. Needless to say I consider that money very well spent.

The recruitment process is edgy - different to other agencies approach. The practical exercise and phone interview process makes you really think about what approach you need to take to put yourself in the best position, it also lets you attack the application at your own pace.

Having now experienced it from both sides of the fence, I see true benefit to both the prospective employee and the employer. Having the ability to identify the talent in a written and a verbal context is an excellent concept and goes one step further than the limited approach of identification directly off a cv.
